Devon author’s book promotes growing and using healing trees

Devon based consultant medical herbalist and herb grower Anne Stobart has a new book ‘The Medicinal Forest Garden Handbook’ published this month – aimed at gardeners who want to grow, harvest and use healing trees and shrubs.

Anne who is Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Exeter is co founder of Holt Wood Herbs, near Great Torrington in Devon, started 15 years ago and now a flourishing medicinal forest garden. She provides advice on the design of new planting projects which can meet the needs of different users from small gardens to smallholdings and agroforestry and includes how medicinal trees can contribute to health and environment.
